Literacy/ESOL

Train the Trainer Workshop

at the 2005 Florida Literacy Conference

Workshop Content:

Do you want to become a Tutor Trainer for Basic Literacy or ESOL? Get the training you need from a ProLiteracy certified field expert. This hands-on, dynamic, day and a half workshop will provide you with one important component of becoming a ProLiteracy America certified Tutor Trainer.

Who should attend a Train the Trainer workshop?

  • tutors who are interested in training others to become tutors through their local literacy program,

AND

  • who have completed a basic literacy or ESOL tutor training workshop,

AND

  • who have tutored at least 40 hours with their local literacy program.

This Workshop does not attempt to teach the content of any specific Tutor Training workshop. It is designed, instead, to teach prospective trainers how to use the principles of participatory adult education in training tutors. We explore the theories and put them to work!
