Are you having a difficult time finding resources to attend the Florida Literacy Conference? We can help, thanks to a grant from the Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education. You may apply for either a travel or registrationscholarship. Numbers are limited.
Administrators, Teachers & Volunteers Working in a Florida Adult Basic Education, Literacy, ESOL or Family Literacy Program
- Travel scholarships will be available in amounts up to $325 on a reimbursement basis and according to state guidelines. Conference registration is required.
- Registration scholarships valued at up to $180 are also available to cover Conference registration costs.
To apply by April 30, send a one-page letter of request to the Florida Literacy Coalition stating:
- if you are applying for a travel OR registration scholarship
- the reason you are applying for a scholarship
- your name, organization, and title
- complete address (organization or home)
- telephone number
- e-mail address
Adult Learners Currently Enrolled in a Florida Adult Basic Education, Literacy, ESOL or Family Literacy Program
- Travel scholarships will be available in amounts up to $325 on a reimbursement basis and according to state guidelines. Conference registration is required.
- Registration scholarships valued at $30, the reduced registration fee for an adult learner to attend the full Conference, are available to cover Conference registration costs. There is no registration fee for adult learners who only want to attend Adult Learner Day, Wednesday, May 11.
To apply by April 30, send a one-page letter of request to the Florida Literacy Coalition stating:
- if you or your student are applying for a travel OR registration
- the reason you or your student are applying for a scholarship
- student's name
- student's complete address (organization or home)
- student's phone number
- student's e-mail address
- the name of the organization where (s)he is enrolled in classes
- the name of a teacher or other person at that organization
- their complete address, phone number, and e-mail address
