GED Test-Taker Increase
Florida Data
In 2007, 47,426 Floridians took the GED test, an increase of 10.6% from 2006. Of these, 71.7% passed the test, which was on par with the US national average ( 71.5%) and up from 65.8% from 2006. The highest pass rate in the country was in Iowa with 99% and the lowest was in Alabama with 53.7%
The average age of those who took and passed the test was 22 years old with 58.8% of these individuals being teenagers.
